About
Ride to Recovery is a non-profit organization that aims to share the love of Jesus Christ with today’s youth, using mountain bikes as a tool to do so. We take kids out riding, and show them that being a Christian doesn’t have to be boring, and that they can have fun without the use of drugs and alcohol. We also usually include a cookout and devotion after the ride. We bring the bikes, helmets, drinks, and food so the kids don’t have to. All riders will be asked to sign a waiver before the ride. If you are interested in having us take your group mountain biking, Give Rich a call at (585)-993-2180, we would love to set something up with you!! If you would like to read Rich’s testimony, Click here or look at the list of pages in the bottom right of your screen.
-We try to do weekly rides in the summer to get kids out from in front of the TV/computer, and on bikes getting exercise.
-For any kids who show a serious interest, we offer the chance to go out racing on the local xc race circuit. This is an extreme challenge, but the feeling that kids get from finishing something they never thought they could is definitely worth it!!
-Every August we do a camp in Varysburg NY, where the youth are offered a chance to come hang out and have a good time, and hear the Gospel. There is a pool, a gym, a pond for fishing, trails for mountain biking, a rec hall, and much more. It is always a great time for everyone who comes!!!
-In the winter we make a few trips to a 110,000 square foot indoor riding park in Cleveland, Ohio called Ray’s MTB. The park has jumps, and obstacles for all skill levels from beginners to professionals. For more information on the park visit www.raysmtb.com. For pictures from our trips to Ray’s click here.
-We meet for “Extreme Faith Fridays” on the third Friday of every month at batavia assembly of God (24 north spruce street, 7pm-9pm) where we do a devotion, play games, fellowship, and eat pizza. Everyone is welcome!!
-If you are interested in joining us for any of the above events, contact us on facebook, or call Rich at (585)-993-2180.
